Well that just about sums the day up really. New Zealand tore into the hosts in the morning, reducing them to 30 for 4 having won the toss, before a huge stand for the fifth wicket between Joe Root and Ben Stokes saw England recover well. Stokes and then Root fell in the 90s to leave England struggling slightly again but England responded with another hundred stand to hand them the day really, even if they did lose a wicket to the very last ball of the day. But some recovery from England and they have a solid score on the board, regardless of whether they get quickly rolled tomorrow morning. That's when we'll be back so see you then...
